There is perhaps nothing worse than receiving calls from collection agencies that are rude and ignorant. That is well outside what they are legally allowed to do, and if you are receiving calls from the 615-372-2999 number then the chances are that you have been on the receiving end of exactly those types of telephone calls. What you have to do is have the caller identify their name and tell you which agency that they are calling from. If they provide you with that information it’s then up to you to write them a letter to let them know that you would like those calls to stop, making sure that you save a copy of the letter for your own records. If the harassing calls continue to come in after they have received your request to stop, then it’s time to lawyer up and go after them. You may even be able to have them pay a $1,000 fine for what they put you through.
