These days everyone seems to be racing through life at incredible speed, it seems that we have so much to do and so many people to please that we work for longer than we should, take our work home with us and more often than not let the outside world intrude on our family and personal life. This leads to a rise in anxiety levels and the appearance of anxiety symptoms.
Symptom to Watch For
Do you find that you become short of breath for no apparent reason, or that you are taking short shallow breaths instead of a more usual slow and regular breathing rhythm? This could be the first indication that you are exhibiting anxiety symptoms. Anxiety symptoms will differ from person to person but there are some classic anxiety symptoms that if ignored could lead to a full on panic attack or severe depression, these anxiety symptoms include:
Rapid breathing – short shallow breaths
Rapid heart rate
A feeling that time is running out – too much to do, so little time
Frantic or erratic behaviour
Loss of concentration and focus
All of the above are classic anxiety symptoms and if you experience them you should try to relax and regain your focus and of course seek medical help before the problem becomes worse.
How Anxiety Affects Your Life
If left without treatment anxiety symptoms can start to take over your life. Your days will revolve around frantically trying to achieve as much as you possibly can without successfully achieving anything. Living in a constant state of anxiety and panic is not good for your physical health and you may start to develop physical symptoms in response to the severity of your anxiety symptoms which is why medical help is advised.
